Heathfield Residential Home

RESPITE CARE

A respite, or temporary stay provides a break from your usual routine, the opportunity to meet others and to either get involved in activities in a safe and supportive environment or to spend time quietly away from it all.

Many people have likened a short stay at Heathfield to a holiday, where you’re staying in luxurious surroundings, there’s someone catering for your daily needs, including enjoying a variety of home-cooked meals and mixing with others.

As well as helping to support your health and well-being, for your family members, your respite stay can help their recuperation, reduce stress and enable them to catch up with other responsibilities. It also provides peace of mind knowing their loved one is receiving high-quality care while they take a break.

A Safe, Comfortable Environment

We provide round the clock care in a safe, comfortable environment, whether for a couple of weeks or longer and peace of mind for loved ones who may themselves be having a break.

Luxurious Surroundings

In years past, the Heathfield building was a gracious Edwardian private residence. The character of the building has been maintained as it would have been with fine staircases, impressive chandeliers, panelled walls, whilst making provision for health and safety requirements. The surroundings are befitting of a fine country house residence.

A Variety of Activities

Stimulating activities whether in the form of mental or physical exercise are available for you to participate in, should you choose to. Alternatively, you may prefer to sit quietly in one of our lounges and enjoy refreshments whilst relaxing.

A Break Organised around your Needs

We’ll discuss with you the type of respite care that would be most appropriate according to your needs and preferences. A short stay at Heathfield also gives you the opportunity to see whether you’d be happy living with us on a long term basis, should the need arise in the future.

What relatives of our residents say:

“I can relax knowing that my Mother is in excellent hands and being well cared for.”

PATRICIA S, Daughter of Resident
