Heathfield Residential Home

DEMENTIA CARE

A dementia diagnosis can evoke strong emotions for all concerned, including a fear of the unknown for what lies ahead.

Whilst this can be a difficult journey, you don’t have to travel it alone. At Heathfield we have many years’ experience successfully caring for residents who live with different types and stages of dementia.

We understand the journey you are taking, as do our highly trained team, and we will provide the support appropriate to your needs having discussed and agreed these with you and, if appropriate, your family.

Our simple and guiding philosophy is that we can help everybody have a good day.

Understanding and Expertise

Our desire is that those living with us are supported to be able to express themselves fully. We believe that this is made possible through strong personal relationships between residents and the team and the carers’ expression of the home’s values which include respecting each individual, showing them dignity and valuing them as a unique individual.

Enviable Reputation

Our dementia specialist care has been shown to improve well-being, following sound research and long term expertise and continues to develop and meet the changing needs of senior people.

Stimulation and Opportunity

We recognize the uniqueness of each person and provide the stimulus to encourage the expression of gifts, talents and abilities where the individual wishes to engage. Our approach embraces physical, emotional and spiritual needs with both reassurance and support.

Be a Part of their Stay

From time to time, we invite families and friends to an evening get together, where we share some of the training support our care team receive, to assist in making your visits fulfilling for all at whatever stage the dementia journey has reached.
